Continuation of my Saturday.

Thanks guys for joining the fun. I am so happy to see that many have joined in the fun though it’s just only one day long! Thanks guys for the support!

As promised, I am going to announce the answer today. *drum rolls*

Those pictures you see, it’s from Kampar. Yah the small small town about an hour from Ipoh town. Yah that’s the town where UTAR’s main campus is situated.

Congrats to Kennyljs!!

I have no prizes, so can only put your name big big over here, hope you don’t mind ya! Guys, do hop over to Kenny’s site and say congrats to him! WoootS.

Apparently he was the only one who managed to guess it correctly.

Anyway,

The buildings you saw, few of them are off-campus hostels. Can you imagine students living in such. good. environment!? Let me emphasize, it’s a really-nice-environment. I don’t know about the interior, but the exterior really did amazed me. It’s so not Malaysian, what’s more it’s in a small town like Kampar.

Well, we didn’t purposely drove ourselves to Kampar. After the Gua Tempurung, we went further down to Kampar Town for it’s locally famous Chicken Bread (面包鸡). It’s 2 flavours of chicken (curry and herbal) wrapped inside the bread, and toast it all together in the oven.

Our Curry Chicken Bread.

We didn’t go for the Herbal ones as many people complained that it doesn’t taste good, so we ordered one Curry Chicken Bread to try out among ourselves.

It took quite some time to get the bread served on our table, as we noticed that they didn’t get it cooked in their shop. Instead, they got it delivered from somewhere else. We did spend some time searching (after the meal) for other restaurants that serves Chicken Bread but to our disappointment, we didn’t see any.

Toasted bread with thick curry inside. Love it you curry-lover!

The Chicken Bread tasted okay only. Like what ChunKeat days, it’s no different then taking them seperately. Other than that, you can easily find better curry chicken outside. Despite of the so-so taste, the whole chicken cost us RM26. It’s rather expensive as this chicken bread can hardly fill the stomach of the 5 of us.

Right after this meal only we went to visit the UTAR campus, and only we know that MMU is nowhere compare to UTAR. Just look at their hostels, their surroundings (with a huge lake!), I have a feeling that in no time, UTAR will be the private university that can compete with MMU.

After all the traveling, our last stop would be getting some local pomeloes near Sam Poh Cave. Grace and Liyi bought 3 medium sized pomelo for RM23, and I asked my uncle about the standard price of that big fruit. He told me that bid sized ones would be only RM4-6 (depends on season). Guess my friends really got conned. LOL!

A really big amount of pomelos!

That’s pretty much of what we did on our lovely Saturday, and this leaves me slacking around on the Sunday. One weekend gone again…

You can say it’s some detective work. Skills like observation, picture manipulation(tried anyways), using part of the picture, google earth (yeah, I am that hardcore, lol), and some asking around and googling around…
