Bali Trip - Day1 (half)

Bali has much to offer in terms of culture. If you don’t know, about 85% of the Balinese is Hinduism, and it’s not those Hinduism you see in Malaysia, the Hinduism is blend together with their local culture and that’s what make Bali unique.

On the first day of the Christmas our Bali trip, we were brought to a typical Bali cultural show.

Pretty? Hell no.

You see what I see? HAHAH!

Sacrificing for the others.

It. Was. So. So. So. So. So. x100000. Boring.

The show is slow, and it’s spoken in don’t know what native language that all of us have no idea what are they shouting. All we see is body languages, acts and the paper that explains the synopsis of the show.

I think it would be interesting to the Europeans but not to us Asians. So I ended up camwhoring with those around me. MUAHAHHAHA!

Shiang and I.

Chun Keat and I.

Yun Xuan and I.

Then then. We went to the batik factory, another boring destination because batik is consider common over here in Penang!

The batik were not only in cloths, but also they made it into pictures using the same technique they make batik. I was quite impressed with the pictures, but I was even more impressed with the price. Damn expensive I would say. The same goes to the batik clothes that they are selling, which made us walk out the place empty handed.

Camwhoring, again.

Not even the boobies can cheer me up. =[

Two boring destinations, zips up our morning.

Up next, lunch up the hill.

I remember that show. They would keep on stab themselves and won’t die. It’s a legend / tale in Bali actually, and they have the story distributed what.

Looks like you were following a tour, and your next destination was Kintamani - lunch at breezing cool up-hill with Mt. Batur as the surrounding scene.

I was in Bali for the 2nd time last September and every moment was exquisite. Can’t imagine how anyone could possibly be bored in magickal Bali - unless they were on a boring package tour! :-)

Jason - Yeah the story in the paper, I can hardly follow which chapter they are acting. lolz!

Tien Soon - !!!!! Are we on the same package??

Antares - You are absolutely correct! I was a boring package tour. If anyone were to ask me or I were to visit Bali the second time, I would definitely recommend on a self exploring tour, it would be so much more interesting then.

Hm.. don’t know hehe.. But mine was self-customized one la. But since the cultural show and art galleries are along the way to Kintamani, so I did visit the 2 places you mentioned in this post lo hehe. Then after Kintamani, went down-hill and stopped at Ubud

Considering there isn’t much people there to watch…..

Yeah, tour packages are cheap, but they tend to do boring stuff.

Tien Soon - Kintamani, yeah, same place. -.-

kljs - It’s because we have a total of 19person, we’ve got no choice but to go with tour packages cause nobody in our group has experience.
