How sucky is the Elken Regional Award Night.

My friend invited me over some function, she told me that the function is about singing and dancing, very fun one. Since I needn’t have to drive, so I nod my head and tag along.

Once I reach Sunway Carnival, I saw so many banners of Elken in the convention centre, then I realised, I was tricked already.

To be fair, I didn’t feel bad at all being tricked, because that’s what every direct sales will do.

I opened my heart to Elken, to find out more on their concept and products. As usual, ha-la-ha-la-ing with the very fakely warm & friendly people over there. They will try to find out what’s your background, and look for potential new member. I know this because I am an Insurance Agent, I KNOW EXACTLY HOW TO CHECK ON PEOPLES BACKGROUND LA OK!

Like what the title is, it’s a Regional Award Night, and this kind of award night in my opinion suits Elken members more then people like me. It’s really a wrong move to invite those non-related people like me, if you want to do so, please make it a wonderful night not a boring one. I will explain about this later.

The place are stuffed with banners of those newly promoted diamond, emerald and ruby managers. Me and my friends were somehow “encouraged” to take pictures with the banners, as is they are some celebrity or anything. To me, they are only fucking stranger to me la k, so stop pushing me around to take pics with this BANNERS!

2 hours later, we were FINALLY invited to sit in the hall.

It started with the dance by 5-6 CHEAP dancers! This 5-6 dancers is the ONLY dancers for the night. It means, for all the 4-5 dances of the night, it’s done by this group of people. Mind me, their dance has really no quality. The dances are totally not properly oriented. Ah it just sucks!

Don’t the bimbos look like ahkua from thailand? Yes? Yes?

The emcee for the night? There’s this chinese male and a malay lady emcee, and they sucked. Both of them were reading scripts THROUGHOUT THE NIGHT! They did not do any eye contact with the audience, and they only READ. Is there no better people more suitable to be an emcee already?

The main attraction for the night is supposed to be the experience sharing by the top sellers/managers in Elken but to me it’s a total failure!

I’ve been to many direct sales functions and I can say any of their function/talks can beat this. Experience sharing is normally the peak of the night. The speakers are very good quality because they can talk well, and the stories that they share are very interesting, motivating, exciting, and heart catching.

BUT THE TALK LAST NIGHT IS REALLY DISAPPOINTING!!! and DISASTROUS!

Ever seen top speakers reading scripts?! If you are interested to see, go attend Elken function haha!

One thing special about Elken is that they have a big Malay market.

Top speakers are suppose to speak fluently in the language of their command. This is what happened in the elken night.

The speakers were trained, meaning that they have to memorise their speech. This is normal I know, but memorising tone? Have you ever seen a speaker memorising which part of the speech needs to shout, which part needs to talk softly, which part needs to take up their hands and yell!

All of this action should comes naturally and NOT by memorising! If they really need to memorise, please don’t be so obvious lah! Another thing, if they need to memorise the speeches, it’s better that you sit down and let me give you a speech on the stage instead.

DUH! Total disappointment.

I got so bored already.

Seriously, I have never seen such a failure of a direct sales function. The award has nothing to do with me. It’s like attending convocation ceremony but you don’t know any one of the people inside. Can you imagine how boring can that be?! Then the supposed to be the peak of the night, turns into story telling instead of experience sharing. What a shame.

If any of the Elken-ians reads this and is not satisfied about that I’ve said, go fuck yourself.
