One fine Saturday afternoon (when I was still in Penang), I fetched my parents down to town, to pay their remaining balance on their HK tour this coming week. Sadly I am having my industrial training and can’t join them for the tour.
SAD!
After settling their bills, I briought my parents to the nearby Ribs Barbeque restaurant for a meal. Of course bill WILL be sponsored by daddy.
In order to compensate my loss, I ordered an expensive combo meal, which consists of Salmon, Prawn, and their house specialty pork ribs as my main course in the set lunch.
The set lunch comes with a fresh bun, and their soup of the day - borsch soup. This soup tasted so much so much better compared to the one in Kim Gary. You can find beans, onions, tomatoes, ham, bacon inside the sour red soup. It’s good!
Then came my combo. The Ribs was as good as ever, the juicy meat and the house BBQ sauce creates rainbow inside my mouth (what a stupid description). Wahaha.
Anyway the garlic prawns was nice too. Fresh prawn with solid meat, together with the butter garlic sauce, loves it so much. The salmon was disappointing though. It was big, and overcook, which makes it so hard. It’s even harder then the pork ribs!
Too bad for my dad. He opt for Salmon fillet as his main course. I guess he hd a hard time finishing that plate of hard meat.
Mum made a brilliant choice. She ordered a Petit Combo, which comes with a drumstick, and 2 pieces of pork ribs. Chicken was ok, but the ribs was really good (again)! The next time I visit Ribs Barbeque Restaurant, I am gonna order solely ribs set!
Other then the set lunch, we also ordered a plate of Potato Skins (3pcs) to share with. If you ask me, the potato skins are much better then the one I had in TGI Fridays.
The potato, topped with BBQ sauce, mayonnaise and baked it with cheese on top. When the barbeque sauce blends with the mayonnaise and cheese, plus the crispy potato skin, damn bagus lah!
After finishing everything, our dessert came. A cup of mix fruit cocktail, and that ends our meal in Ribs BBQ Restaurant with an RM70.96 bill for the 3 of us, happily.
Yeah, happily. =D
