My mum went back to Penang already.
Yepp, my weekend was busy with entertaining my mum, brother, uncles, aunties, and cousins as they are over here in Melaka for the weekend until this morning, which explains the lack of updates over the weekend.
Anyway, remember my Top 10 Melaka food list? Well, here’s gonna be another 3 for you.
4. Porridge

A big pot of boiling porridge.
The porridge is smooth, and has very strong aroma from all kinds of “stuffs”. Stuffs, I mean chicken giblet, pork liver, egg, century egg, AND OTHERS which I can’t figure out. Other then that, they have deep fried prawn wanton, and charsiew.
5. Chendol
Look at the sweet sweet sugar..
The nice chendol is situated in Jonker street. What makes the chendol special is the “gula Melaka” they used together with the Santan and Durian paste (for durian flavoured chendol). We ain’t gonna get this chendol any place outside Melaka.
6. Yam paste
Definitely a nice dessert suitable for all ages.
Well, this is a Teochew dessert. I know there are a lot of “add-water-to-eat” packing but don’t let the stupid ready made dessert spoil it. Go Teo Soon Long Chan and order one, you will know how yam paste really taste like! Also, the oyster mee taste very good.
If you are interested to know more details about the foods, feel free to leave a comment, or email me if you wanna talk in private.
