It’s almost been a year since I started blogging on my own hosting and domain. In this year, I learned the importance of getting a good and reliable hosting server for your site. At times, when the server break down, it can be a mental torture seeing that you only get a “This page cannot be displayed” when you click on your site.

If you ask my advice, I can tell you how to get a good web hosting. First, the server cannot be breaking down too often, once or twice a year should be at the level of acceptance. It would be a nuisance if the server keeps break down.

Then, the price must also be reasonale according to the bandwidth and the capacity provided. There are different requirements of bandwidth for different sites such as blogs or forums.

If you are a first timer in this field, I suggest you visit the Web Hosting Geeks to have a brief idea on what and where to look for a good hosting. It would be nice to be prepared to know more on hosting else you will easily get cheated by some people.

It’s a month since I last left Melaka after I graduated, and I missed everyone especially in this lonely night.

I missed those times where I get to patkua with my patgong and patpoh friends when coursemates started walking in to the class, and our conversation will usually starts like, “Eh, you know ar, blablabla..”. Ok I am one of the patgong.

I missed those times when we have no idea where and what to eat after class, and just squating down impatiently waiting for someone to make a decision. Human are hard to please.

I missed those times where I need to make a decision to go for badminton, or to go have meals with my friends. One is to lose weight, another is to indulge in the food.

I missed those times when it’s so annoying that I have to go celebrate friend’s birthday no matter how tired I am. This is what we call friend mar!

I missed everyone.

Group pic taken in Seoul Garden during one of the farewells.

Are you missing me?

Updated @ 5.48pm 25th June ‘08 : Not to forget about kimfei for being the cameraman. Sorry dude I am just so lazy to photoshop you into the pic. =D Waiting for your domain.

Yoo-hoo-hooo-hoo-hooo-hoo~

I got my room back, and I did some minor refurnishing on it. Gawd it looks great! I love my room so much now!

I painted my wall with Butter Cream colour and also Orange. Giving some colours to the wall did send some excitement signals to me considering my previous wall which is in deadly-white colour. Not to forget my new yellow bed sheet.

Bah. Pardon my messy bed.

Also I bought a new table for myself. It’s a DIY product, and I spent almost 4 hours fixing it. So exhausting but by looking at the end product, I am proud of myself. =]

See the red carpet? See my new desk?

Not to forget, a red-orange carpet under the desk, and also green mat for my table, both from Home Harmony @ Queensbay.

My lappie, photo frame, and my clock on the desk.

The cute little OnePiece characters on my desk.

80% of my room refurnishing has completed. I need another wardrobe for the completion and this should be done within this few days.

Now, time to unpack my stuffs from Melaka, after such a long long long time..

LOLZ!

Study week started, and it’s time for study, but studying at home is always not so efficient.

At home, we always accidentally got glued to our computers. Whether it’s to read newspaper, finding latest movies/animes to be downloaded, watch ‘em, blogging or reading blogs, or even porns. Yeah we are easily seduced by just a few piece of metal, buttons, and a screen. (Students nowadays are hopeless)

Last night, we went to KFC for our dinner, and also to study.

We are retarded, but we are happy.

Oh I got myself a freakiingtastic car by buying the KFC X-meal! Neh the one driven by Rain in the what what movie ar? Nice onot.

Vroom vrooooom~~!

At home, it’s hot thanks to the blardy whether wheather weather. Lucky me, my room has aircond and I could escape the flaming weather but not my friends. Best places to study would be restaurants that’s not packed so that we wouldn’t be sued away.

Study outing is always organised to boost our study morale.

After KFC, we got thirsty and continued our studies in Coffee Bean.

I wish the table could be bigger.

Oh man, I am confirmed having allergy to Coffee Bean, probably due to the dairy products that they used to make our drinks. Everytime after consuming those expensive kopis, I will get some crunching and punching inside my tummy, and end up having one-time diarrhea.

Pathetic.

Perhaps, I just ain’t got the life to drink high class coffee?

Now I wonder, what’s tonights plan? Staying at the boring room, or there’s another outing! AHA!

After changing my 2 months old bedsheet, I felt so comfortable especially when replacing it with my favourite yellow bedsheet! (Did I tell you my favourite colour is yellow?)

Yellow looks good isn’t it!

Yellow bedsheet, yellow pillow case, yellow bolster case, and also a super yellow Spongebob-squarepants beside!

That’s just me, don’t laugh. Haha!

Just out of curiosity, how many of you sleep with a bolster? And also how many of you (for guys only) have dolls on your bed?

Do leave a comment thanks.

Have you watched the Iron Man? They have release the movie today (30th April) .

(Not intending to do any spoilers).

Today me and my friends went to watched the Iron man after Fenn had finished her presentation. The whole cinema was so crowded, guessing that everyone rushed to the cinema for Iron Man. Luckily we bought our ticket yesterday. Muahhaa!

Iron Man.

If you ask me, Iron Man is definitely recommended to be watched in the cinema. Trust me, there are so many funny plots in the movie that you have to enjoy together with all the audience.

The show is 120minutes long, which surely made your cinema ticket worth while (This statement is for those stingy ass).

So, all I have to say is go and watch this show. IT’S GOOD!!

Pardon me, for my laziness, for my lappie’s showing its attitude, so and so. I finally found the time to “vomit” out this post, the Pre-Prom.

—–.—–.—–.—–.—–.—–.—–.—–.—–.—–.—–

Our tele-prom-alike-party was held on 10th April, almost 3 weeks ago because a few of my friends and I are very dissatisfied with price of the official prom - RM95 per pax.

Wei we are students only wei!

So. Me and Cunlynn went on organising our own tele-prom-alike-party solely for chinese tele-ians. Thanks for the tele-ians giving us face, we managed to gather a 34 tele-ians joining our prom party. Hehe.

We got ourself a private room in Essence Kitchen @ Holiday Inn Hotel, Melaka, with an Italian themed buffet dinner so that our insane act (will be explained in the latter post) won’t affect the other customers.

Lovely balloons up on the ceiling.

On that day, we (me, Cunlynn, and CJ) went to the place 1.5 hours earlier, to prepare the stuffs.

We had to arrange the tables ask the waiters to arrange the tables, to decide how can the layout be in the room so that there are spaces in the room for games, and how many tables are to be joined together.

The lucky draw prizes, including a EACAN speaker worth RM158.

Finally we decide with this layout, with the center space left for camera taking session, and also gaming sessions.

Also, we have to prepare the numbers for the game session by sticking up each number up on the wall.

The numbers, for girls and guys.

Luckily we managed to finish preparing everything including changing our own clothes before 7pm where friends started coming.

Even the food are still sealed fresh.

At 7pm, everybody started coming in, and our tele-prom-alike-party has officially started.

Net helping Culynn fixing her fake lashes.

How did everyone looked? How did we enjoyed the night? All of this will be updated in some time soon. Stay tuned!

p/s : Tele is the short form of our course name of “Electronics majoring in Telecommunications Engineering”.

I bought a new phone, LG Shine KE970 the shiny metal slide phone.

The front look of the phone.

Many have been asking why did I buy such an unpopular phone. Well, this is me, always doing things that most people don’t do. In other words, I want to be different from others, I want to be unique, I am too just obsessed with myself.

Anyway, here’s a review about the phone. All honest opinion from my heart, from a fussy user. No blardy lies in this post, cause nobody paid me to write this!

The back of the phone - the metal casing.

The Pros.

The main reason I bought over this phone is because of its elegant exterior. I am one who always look something from the outside, then only inside. This applies to how I look on other people.

From the front, it’s like a huge mirror. The phone benefit most to those people who are a vainpot, like me LOL! Throw your mirrors out from your heavy bag, you don’t need them with your phone around.

Told you the screen can be a mirror.

On the back part, it’s a whole piece of metal. I don’t know how to describe how a piece of metal can make the phone look so good, but it’s how it made the phone shines among the others, really.

I love the flat key pad, where it’s so hard to find it on other phones.

Nice keypad for sms.

The phone comes with a 2MP auto focus camera, product of Scheneider - Kreunzach. So far, from my opinion, the camera isn’t really good, but at the same time isn’t that bad also. Averagely it’s better then those chapalang handphone camera that are without auto focus.

Picture of my grandma’s self made chee chong fun taken from the phone, unedited. Not too bad right?

I did say that the phone is unique in many different ways didn’t I? This phone has a special scrollbar, in the front part of the screen. No more arrow up and down, it’s just rubbing your thumb on the scrollbar up and down. It’s nice!

The heavenly convenient scrollbar key.

The Cons.

The software supported are very inconvenient, totally inconvenient. Here are few examples to support my complain.

1. There’s no shortcut for deleting sms-es. A minimum of three steps needed, Options > Delete > Yes. Compared to SE phones, a “C” > Yes, one step saved.
2. Transferring pics via bluetooth to pc was troublesome. I have to transfer ONE BY ONE cause they never have a “mark” function for me to mark more then one pics to be sent together. Grrr.!
3. After finished typing the sms, ready to be sent, there’s no shortcut key for us to reach our contact book in the phone, instead, we need to go Option > Contact > [find name] > Yes > Send. SO MAFAN CAN!!
4. My phone book got messed up. Like I saved the contact on the name (Ah Kow) from my previous phone, it now turns in to (Kow/ Ah). Now I have a hard time to think of the name that I saved to make a call. How pathetic is that?
5. When my battery is running low, which is quite often, the phone doesn’t allows me to use my camera. Even when listening mp3, when the “low battery” warning pops up practically 3 minutes starting from my song, my music will be stopped and not resumed. DAMN! Am I the owner of the phone or the battery is!?!

It’s not thick you see, it’s sleek!

Other then the software problem, the battery is very not lasting. I think, for a new phone, the battery must at least last for 5-7 days without calling, but my phone lasted only for 3-4 days max even if I didn’t make or receive any calls. I have to charge my phone every 2 days now, which I think it’s a very bad battery provided.

The price.

I think many of you are curious about the price. Well I got it at a bargain, only RM999 (I think it’s pretty cheap!). It was originally priced at RM1199, but with SenQ giving a RM200 rebate, a FREE Jabra bluetooth headset, comes with a 512mb Micro SD card, 1+2 additional years warranty for free (for members), and I topped up an addional RM49 for an extra 2 years warranty which made my phone warrantied for 5 fucking years.

Tell me where can you get your phone warrantied for so long!!?

2 MP camera with auto focus, not too bad.

So far, other then the complains I mentioned above, I am quite satisfied with the phone. Asked me if I would recommend this phone to you? If you like something to show off, YES. Else, get another phone. Hehe!

I hope LG would take note of all the complains and improve its functions in the coming phone as I see there’s future in LG, just that they need more experience and time to work things out.

Go go LG!

Hey! I wonder how many of you visits my friend’s blog, or particularly Jian’s / Miao’s blog!

If you don’t know anything about his blog, you should really pay his blog a visit.

Why? Because he draws interesting “comic” drawing, and I particularly love his latest picture, which explains our class situation with the BOLD hair lecturer (pay attention on every single detail on the picture) (I am the scorpion with plaster on my head -.-).

I love him!!
