Pathetic.

It’s been about a month since I came back from Bali, but I haven’t even cover 35% of my Bali trip. -.-

—–.—–.—–.—–.—–.—–.—–.—–.—–.—–.—–.—–.—–.—–.—–.

That night, we had a good meal in Jimbaran Beach. We were seated by the sea, on the soft sand with a long table to accomodate the 19 of us.

Yes it’s a very long table I know.

We were all served by a set of seafood BBQ which consists of a crab, squid, prawns and a fresh fish. The fish and the crab was really fresh. Though the crab was small in size, but the meat still tasted sweet. Lucky for me, Shiang gave me his crab because he’s allergy to seafood. Wooohoo!

Aren’t they delicious?

It felt so nice to hear the waves slamming on the sea and the sea breeze, I felt so relaxed. One thing I dislike about sea breeze is that it makes your body sticky. Eww..

The next day, after having our breakfast, we were brought to a series of lame activity. First was feeding fishes on the boat, but too bad our bread stinks, the fishes just didn’t sense our bread and did not come near our boat.

Snapped when leaving the land.

Then we were brought to an island together with a bunch of other tourists from Taiwan. Over here, the workers showed us a cock fighting show and we could place our bet on one of the chickens. Well, none of us played the game, we just watch. Lol!

Also there’s turtle in the big plastic container. The workers carried the turtle out for us to take photo and we are even allowed to carry the turtle. I didn’t wanna do that because I feel that its habitat should be in the sea and not a place like this, and certainly not being carried by human on hand.

Two lonely turtles.

Anyhow, I snapped some pictures though. =]

YunXuan acting like a turtle LOL!

I walked around, and I got horrified with what I saw. If you think that the turtles being carried up are pityful, wait til you see this. These turtles are placed on just sand. I felt so sad for them, but there’s nothing I could do.

The pitiful turtles.

Look at the turtle, isn’t he sad..

“Let me go, please..”

Now I have a bigger picture on this island. It’s an island created just for tourists and because of us, these animals were captured and tortured.

Other then the turtles and fighting cocks, they have also bats,

A big bat hanging upside down.

eagle,

Eagle claws are sharp I tell you.

snake,

Man! Snakes are eerie!!

and a pair of squirrel making out. LOL!

“Ahh~ Ahh~~” XD

In the end, this island spoilt my mood by showing me all this animals. I just feel sorry for all of them. Not only that, we are “required” to pay tips before leaving the island. The workers block our exit by guiding us to the tips box.

Being a stubborn boy as I am, I was pissed and push away the worker’s hand. In return, I heard some kind of cursing that I don’t understand. -.-

After that, all of us were sent back to the land, to have a ride on the Banana Boat. So sien! Cause the boat didn’t flip. It’s like going on a high speed boat and that’s it. Grrr..

Banana boat should be more fun!

Anyway, I was happy cause the professional photographer kimfei captured a super nice photo of me running by the sea. Woot I am so eng tao. =D

BEACH BOYS!

Sunny Boy!! LOL!

Ok. I stop here because I know you are going to vomit. HAHHA!

Shall update more on the trip, if I have the mood.

I know, if I still didn’t update my blog, you guys are gonna hire some hacker to bomb my blog right! Please, No! I update I update ok.

Bali trip, part 2, continuation from the previous-previous-previous-previous post.

We were tired, and hot. All of us (I think) dozed off in the bus after the boring show. The bus turned and brake, brake and turned. In no time, we arrived in our lunch restaurant, which is at a hill side. The weather up there is like we are in Cameron Highlands, chilly and windy. So nice. Seriously, the food weren’t worth mentioning, so let’s just skip it. However, the view was awesome.

Small hill beside the volcano.

Me, laling, and mapo camwhoring.

The lake on the right of the volcano, too bad it’s blocked by the trees.

It’s at the hill side, where we could see the volcano. Wow. This was the first time in my life to see an alive volcano with my very own eyes.

See the volcano? Yes? Yes?

I love the bungalows behind.

It’s just so nice to see nice scenery with a nice weather over there, so relaxing that you won’t even remember that you are so far far away from home.

Next, we went to a Temple in Tampaksiring, or it’s called Holy Spring Water Temple. The temples in Bali are different with those we see in Malaysia. Guys have to wear sarung if their pants are too short, while girls are not allowed to enter if they are having period.

Yey! First time on sarung!

This place is popular for the natural spring water inside the temple. In the pool, or pond, you can see that water is flowing up from the bottom non stop, and it was really amazing.

Did you see the source of the spring water?

It’s in the center where water kept flowing in.

Too bad there were reflections on the water, and that’s why you can’t see clearly what actually happened in the pool.

After that, we all were brought again to another temple! This time it’s the Gao Gajah, or called Elephant cave. Don’t bother to elaborate about the temple, cause I didn’t even listen to the tour guide. LOL!

A group picture in front of the Elephant Cave.

They said we looked like France flag.

Nice or not this pic?

I just love this picture. It’s like an angel dancing in the sacred garden. In reality, it’s just a man taking a picture over there.

Alright. Very tired already, got to stop now.

Please bear with me for the short update ok, cause I am really busy that I don’t even have time to visit blogs.

:]

Will update when I have the time.

Ciaoz!

Not in a good mood to write about my Bali trip itenary in detail. So let me just skip the boring part, and tell you a story about me and my friend almost being raped in Bali.

Lol!

The story starts like this..

All the 19 of us, signed up for a Bali full course massage, which consists of a full body massage, reflexiology, body scrub, yogurt and a spa for 2 hours.

We went in the place, and were assigned 2 person to a room. Me and my friend, CJ (a handsome guy) were sent into the same room by a Balinese girl (the massager).

She took us into a room, and tell, “take off..” then she went out of the room.

O.O!!

Me and CJ were both in confused mood as we both had no experience in getting a massage. We have no idea the word “take off” means taking off until where. Is it until our underwear? Or just take off our shirts? Or NAKED??!

NAKED!!?? Holy. I don’t want to be naked infront of a stranger, and my friend. =[

Both of us in a stim and blur mode, decided to go to the toilet first.

Then we actually met many of our friends visiting the toilet too. One of the friend showed us the disposable underwear his massager gave to him. Another friend told us that it was on the massage bed. Me and CJ wondered, how come the girl didn’t give us any of this disposable underwear??!

Then we went back to our room (after doing our pee-pee lar of course) and checked. Hey there’s no disposable underwear on the bed either! 2 minutes later, the massager only walk in the room and passes us the disposable underwear.

*wipe sweat*

Did she intentionally did that??! To see both of us naked?!!

Nevermind.

Me and CJ then stripped off, and changed into the disposable underwear. This time, 2 massager came in, and ask us to sit on the chair, where they will wash/scrub our leg.

We were both naked, except for the disposable underwear. It’s just so embarassing to be such naked in front of the strangers.

10 minutes, after they scrubbed and washed our feet with brushes and salt, only we are sent to our bed to be massage.

Long story cut short.

After my massager massaged my back, she told me to turn upward so that she could massage my top. I turned, and let her massage. She took off my blanket and started to massage. Few minutes later, I felt so cold, and decided to open my eye and see what’s going on.

I was shocked. I saw CJ’s blanket is still on his body while he was being massaged, why the hell did my massager took off my blanket. Damn! I then asked her to cover me up because I was really cold.

What the hell..

2 hours later, we finished our massage.

After discussing with our friends about the experience, we only found out that everyone was given a towel to cover themself while their leg is being washed, except for the both of us.

SWEAT!!!

BOTH OF US WERE SURE, THAT WE WERE BEING SET UP BY THE 2 BALINESE GIRLS, THAT SEEMS TO BE INTERESTED IN US!!

I can’t imagine what if we were stupid enough to be naked. There should be some “special service” I assume.

AAAhh! By just thinking seemed to be horrible enough. Luckily, we came out in one piece, and most importantly, clean.

-.-||

Scary..

Bali has much to offer in terms of culture. If you don’t know, about 85% of the Balinese is Hinduism, and it’s not those Hinduism you see in Malaysia, the Hinduism is blend together with their local culture and that’s what make Bali unique.

On the first day of the Christmas our Bali trip, we were brought to a typical Bali cultural show.

Pretty? Hell no.

You see what I see? HAHAH!

Sacrificing for the others.

It. Was. So. So. So. So. So. x100000. Boring.

The show is slow, and it’s spoken in don’t know what native language that all of us have no idea what are they shouting. All we see is body languages, acts and the paper that explains the synopsis of the show.

I think it would be interesting to the Europeans but not to us Asians. So I ended up camwhoring with those around me. MUAHAHHAHA!

Shiang and I.

Chun Keat and I.

Yun Xuan and I.

Then then. We went to the batik factory, another boring destination because batik is consider common over here in Penang!

The batik were not only in cloths, but also they made it into pictures using the same technique they make batik. I was quite impressed with the pictures, but I was even more impressed with the price. Damn expensive I would say. The same goes to the batik clothes that they are selling, which made us walk out the place empty handed.

Camwhoring, again.

Not even the boobies can cheer me up. =[

Two boring destinations, zips up our morning.

Up next, lunch up the hill.

On the Christmas day, I went to Gunung Lang.

And I sprained my leg.

That’s it. End of this post.

Bye bye.

Tata.

Hokay I continue, just don’t spit on me.

———————————————————————

On the Christmas, I went to Gunung Lang.

Though it’s named Gunung Lang,

but it’s not hiking activity,

it’s only for walking.

Ok.

Firstly, let me introduce my friends who went together with me.

From the left, AhKam, Me, Liyi, Grace, Irene, and Jo.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Aren’t us all lengzais and lengluis.

I think so too.

Anyway, we took the boat across the lake.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Happily.

We were only on the boat for less then 2 mins,

but still required to wear the safety jacket.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Instead of complaining,

we camwhored,

until we reached the other side of the lake.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

They walk, but I walk, run, jump, and hop.

In just less then 10 minutes after I reached the place,

my leg got sprained.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

(my leg is fine now, can jump already ^_^)

Even with a sprained leg,

I still continue exploring the place,

walking very slowly of course.

Seriously, the weather was hot.

Real hot.

There’s one millisecond that I want to be turned into ducks,

so that I could swim in the cooling lake.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

But I couldn’t bear with the fugly sound,

so it’s better for me to be a human.

Though it’s hot,

but we continued walking.

The Malay house was the first thing that attracted us.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

We walked towards the house,

walked inside,

and found out,

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

The house was full of S.H.I.T.

Ewww.

But before we get out of the house,

Grace wanted a pic,

and she pose..

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

like those antique MTV girls.

Lolz.

We continued walking, but there’s no wind.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

All of us are sweating real hard,

because it’s hot!

Therefore we quickly proceed to our next destination.

The tower.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

We ran up,

for a camwhore session.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Thanks AhKam for holding the camera!

We climbed until the top floor,

hoping for wind but still,

NO WIND!

All we get is just the nice nice view.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Like this.

We hike up higher, and got this.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Dissapointed,

cause there’s no wind.

We thought if we were to walk beside the mountain,

we wouldn’t feel so hot.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Apparently,

it’s better because of the shade,

but still no wind!

We saw a millipede, or called giant millipede?

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

I wonder, do they sweat?

Cause it’s really hot you know.

Even we walked until almost under the mountain,

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

All we feel is just slightly cooler.

Slowly, slowly,

we all got frustrated,

and we thought it’s time for us to leave.

Before leaving,

we had some serious fun!

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

We took turns to play this don’t-know-what-game thingy,

and it’s so heroic and at the same time funny.

Also

we took another group photo.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Darn I looked fat.

Should have edited more ..

After 2 hours of walking under the HOT weather,

I sadly left with a sprained leg,

and 5 of them left happily with a friend that sprained his leg.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Pity me.

One main reason I love taking buffet at Golden Sands Resort is because of the ambience. I am not mentioning the coffee house, but the environment around the coffee house, in other words, the resort.

gs16.jpg

The Golden Sands Resort, Penang.

Golden Sands Resort is situated at Batu Feringgi, the famous beach of Penang, where you will see a lot of tourists enjoying their holiday around here.

One major attraction for me is because of the nice natural environment. Note that the coffee house is open air, not air-conditioned, but with the environment which is full of trees around, you wouldn’t feel hot.

gs12.jpg

Benches under the shady trees.

Normally with this kind of beach hotel, there will be a lot of benches by the sea, by the swimming pool, where they cater got tourists a place to suntan themselves. Of course you can choose a spot under the tree where you won’t get burned if you don’t wish to suntan.

gs14.jpg

More benches..

The swimming pool is big, and the landscaping is nice. There’s a small slide for baby’s pool, a net for playing volleyball in the pool, and a main pool for people to swim.

gs11.jpg

Volleyball anyone?

gs15.jpg

The slide from the baby’s pool.

If you want something more natural, hop over to the beach.

You can go for beach skiing. You can anytime rent a motorboat by the sea. Another major entertainment is you can also choose to play parachute. Too bad everytime I go only for buffet, and I never prepare any beachwear, orelse I really would like to have some fun!

gs17.jpg

I WANT PARACHUTE!!!

Still, everytime after the heavy buffet, it’s good to have a walk under the trees, to help you digest a little bit of your food.

Now, I wonder when and where will be my next buffet meal…

I’ve been to Cameron many times, and I think I should be able to give some extra information on Cameron Highlands.

1. The new route (from Simpang Pulai) up to Cameron is much better and easier to drive up compared to the old route (at Tapah), but beware of speed traps when driving up. Each ticket costs you RM300.

2. Stuffs from China. If you are up in Cameron Highland, there are only one place for you to visit at night, which is the pasar malam (night market). Goods from the pasar malam are 90% from china, which includes strawberries, honey, toys, clothes, etc..

3. Corns from Cameron Highland can be ate raw. The corns are fresh, juicy and sweet.

camr3.jpg

Raw corn to be eaten!

4. Having steamboat up in Cameron Highland is nice, cause you won’t be sweating while drinking the hot soup, and while the hot soup flow in your stomach, you feel so warm and satisfied.

5. Plants that can be bought on Cameron Highland, 75% of them will die few weeks or months later. So don’t blardy waste money on them and don’t listen to those salesperson bullshit!

6. Strawberry tells lies! They can be big and red yet sour!

camr2.jpg

Red and sour strawberries!

7. The top spot in Cameron Highland is at Gunung Brinchang, where you will see many antenna towers over there.

camr.jpg

Me and my lovely cousin.

8. Cameron Highland is getting hotter and more tourists each year.

9. Don’t wash your hands after you pee, your meals.. Just don’t wash your hands if you don’t want to end up freezing yourself.

Well, I think that’s enough advice from me to you. Hope you don’t fall on those traps when visiting Cameron Highland k!

Every year, my big family (consists of 4 families) will visit Cameron Highlands at the end of the year, where the weather will be the coolest for holiday, without fail.

cmn6.jpg

A lovely family I saw during one of my photo shootings.

With so many trips up on Cameron, it’s basically not those “rush to visit farm, rush to visit park, rush to visit plantation” trip anymore. It’s about relaxation, and it’s about gathering all the family members under one roof and have fun with each other.

We cook ourself, which is the most economical. We eat, we eat and we eat most of the time other then watching TVB drama and play Ginrami. Well Ginrami is for the adults, and the kids will play Millionaire.

cmn3.jpg

This is the only place where I can afford a KLIA.

Having steamboat is the best meal up there, where you won’t even sweat at all. It feels so nice when the hot soup warms up your body.

cmn4.jpg

Leftovers of the steamboat.

Apart from steamboat, it has to be our Penang famous Prawn Mee. Thanks to my genius grandma, she “invented” the Prawn Mee paste, and all we need to do is just add water to the paste and we get a nice bowl of delicious Prawn Mee.

cmn1.jpg

Sorry I sucked up most of the soup already -.-

We have been taking Steamboat and Prawn mee for the past few years, and this time, my uncle introduced a new dish, Penang famous Char Koay Teow.

Trust me, the Prawn mee and the Char Koay Teow taste equivalently good (if not better) to those penang hawkers.

cmn2.jpg

Char Koay Teow solely prawns, and add chilli one plate. Thanks uncle!

So you know what we basically eat up there, wanna know what we did throughout my 2 days up there? Stay tuned for Cameron ‘07 Part 2 k.

cmn5.jpg

Colourful flowers.

Sending you lovely flowers from Cameron.
